Jeremy Dauber
Jeremy Dauber is an assistant professor of Germanic languages and literatures at Columbia University. He specializes in Yiddish literature and is currently teaching a
seminar on Sholem Aleichem. Dauber received a doctorate from the University of Oxford in 1999, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. His research, focuses on the usage of Biblical and rabbinic texts by Hebrew and Yiddish writers of the Jewish Enlightenment. Dauber is also interested in the development of the Yiddish Theater. He is currently working with Joel Berkowitz of Oxford on a series of translations of Yiddish plays.
