Tim Allen
Tim Allen is currently lecturer in the Development Studies Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has published widely on poverty and development, ethnic conflict and media representations of these phenomena. He has considerable expertise in the fields of complex emergencies, ethnic conflict, forced migration and local conceptions of health and healing and development aid. His expertise has been focussed largely on East Africa, particularly Sudan, Uganda and Kenya. Allen has also worked in television and radio, notably on the "Developing World" series in conjunction with BBC Radio 4 and the Open University.
