Johannes W.J. Beentjes
Johannes Beentjes is currently senior associate professor with the Department of Communication at the University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Prior to this he worked in the department of education at Leiden University where, in 1990, he completed his Ph.D. on children's television viewing and reading. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Sesamstraat, the Dutch version of Sesame Street, and is the author of many books and articles on the psychology of media in Europe, particularly its effects on the young.
