Heidi Ardizzone
Heidi Ardizzone is visiting assistant professor of American studies at the University of Notre Dame. She received her doctorate from the University of Michigan in American studies in 1997. She currently teaches courses on race, gender, social movements and social history and has previously taught women's studies at SUNY Plattsburgh. Her book, co-authored with Earl Lewis of the University of Michigan, is Love on Trial: An American Scandal in Black and White, published in 2001 by W. W. Norton & Company. She is presently working on her second book, Red Blooded Americans: Race, Mulattoes, and National Identity.
