Jan-Melissa Schramm Jan-Melissa Schramm is a college lecturer and Fellow in English at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, UK. She worked as a lawyer in Australia before undertaking a Ph.D. in English, and her research now focuses on the ways in which criminal-trial procedure impacted upon the development of narrative form in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. In Cambridge she has taught both criminal law and eighteenth- and nineteenth-century fiction. | |||||||||||||||
