Alice Hudson
Alice Hudson has been chief of the map division of The New York Public Library's Humanities and Social Sciences Library since 1981. She is active in the New York Map Society and administers the activities of the Library's Mercator Society. Her reviews and articles have appeared in such publications as the American Book Collector, the Western Association of Map Libraries Information Bulletin, the Map Collector and Meridian. Her work on some 200 pre-twentieth century women in cartography will be published in the Fall 2001 issue of Cartographica. She also lectures regularly about various aspects of historical maps to groups around the country.
