Seminar Introduction
Steinhart and Friedman

Perhaps the only thing more painful than watching someone sweat, stutter and stammer through a public speech is for you to be that person on the podium. But it doesn't have to be that way. How to overcome the butterflies and project yourself with clarity and confidence?

Learn how to take the pain out of public speaking in these clear and entertaining short video sessions by public-speaking coaches Jordan Friedman (far right) and Judith Steinhart of Alice!, Columbia University's Health Education Program. They provide public-speaking pointers on everything from calming yourself before you speak, to making eye contact, to how to work with your audience.

  • Give a positive first impression to the audience.
