David ArnoldDavid Arnold is currently professor of South Asian history and pro-director for research at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He took his BA at the University of Exeter, followed by a PhD at the University of Sussex on Congress and Indian Nationalism in Tamil Nadu, South India. He has also held positions at the University of Lancaster and at Flinders University, Australia and the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. His publications include Colonising the Body: State Medicine and Epidemic Disease in Nineteenth-Century India.
