Linda Pitkin is a biologist with two main fields of interest. By profession she is an entomologist at The Natural History Museum in London, specializing in research on moths. Aside from this, her greatest passion is observing and photographing marine life. Her underwater photographs have won many national and international awards; they have been widely published in books and magazines, and have also featured in an IMAX multi-screen presentation. She is the author of The Living Sea--a Photographic Exploration of Life in the Sea (1995) and Under Northern Seas (1997).
