Kay Boardman is a senior lecturer in English at the University of Central Lancashire. She had published on a range of Victorian topics, especially on womens' magazines, and has co-edited, with Margaret Beetham, Victorian's Womens' Magazines: An Anthology. Her current research is on popular writing by Victorian women writers and she is working (with Shirley Jones) on an edited collection of essays on the topic which is due to be published by Manchester University Press in 2003.
