Touching the Heavens

This fine piece (1962) was inspired by Guo's visit to Mt Wuyi, which is famous for its rocks that look like stone drums. His calligraphy is unusually jaunty:

Some men come here to play the
stone drums,
but I just wish to stretch out and touch
the heavenly blue above
