Making Your Mark

This couplet can be read in different ways because of the complexities of classical Chinese. Some scholars take it to mean:

Great talent will always show through,
Like the brightness of the Milky Way,
cascading out of a clear sky.

It can also be read as meaning that within the vastness of nature there is space enough for everyone to find their place.
