Mia Rodriguez-Salgado is professor of international history at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests are Anglo-Spanish relations, Philip II and Charles V and their empires as well as North Africa and the Ottomans in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Her publications include The Changing Face of Empire: Charles V, Philip II and Habsburg Authority.
