Dombey and Son, No. V. The fifth installment (February 1847) of Dealings with the Firm of Dombey and Son, Wholesale, Retail and for Exportation, which closes with the heart-wrenching death of Little Paul Dombey. It is said that Dickens based Paul Dombey on his frail little nephew, Harry Burnett. (See the original photograph of Harry in the Christmas Carol Slideshow in session 3 of this seminar.)
