Bat
Phil Richardson
The great fruit-eating bat, Artebius lituratus, tends to roost in small numbers and has been found under the leaves of coconut palms. Obtaining enough fruit is always a bit of a struggle. On some trees, all the fruits ripen simultaneously: then competition is great because a host of birds, monkeys and other mammals come along for the feast.
