This 13-credit undergraduate certificate program
prepares participants for a leadership role in a field that is rapidly
transforming the world. The courses cover a variety of subjects relevant
to the field of information sciences and technology, including the
background of information science, the organization of data, the
networking and telecommunications industries and new media and the Web.
The program offers an introduction to the social, ethical and policy
issues surrounding the field. Participants can further develop their
skills to address issues in the context of information science and
technology, such as policymaking, career planning and workforce
development.
