Lessons from Kosovo
From: London School of Economics and Political Science | By: Mary Kaldor

EDITOR'S INTRODUCTION | For Kosovo, the impact of Slobodan Milosevic's accession to power in 1989 was devastating, and only served to fuel tensions already rising within the country. The Kosovo Commission, an initiative of the Prime Minister of Sweden, Göran Persson, was set up to look objectively at the crisis in Kosovo, away from the influence of the various agendas of international organisations. Mary Kaldor, professor of global governance at the London School of Economics and Political Science, was one of the members of the Commission, and looks at the lessons to be learned from Kosovo.

Mary Kaldor talks about the lessons that can be learned from Kosovo.
