In each case, we would look for
specific characteristics. For example, in the case of the Media (freedom of
information) à
Organisation (Internet) à Individual link (web users), the following characteristics
would come into focus:

Number of users;
·
Frequency of use;
·
Number of sites visited by type;
·
Type of use (seeking information, sharing information,
communicating etc);
·
Social profile of users (age, gender, social and
cultural background, occupation, etc.);
·
Value profile of users;
·
Social participation profile of users; and
·
Political profile of users.
