Britain at the Crossroads

EDITOR'S INTRODUCTION |
In this lecture, delivered at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Tony Blair, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, sets out his vision for the future of Britain. He argues that one of the great dangers in the business of government is to lose sight of a destination, and that his aim is to build a Britain that is tolerant, inclusive and outward-looking, where the only limit to achievement is merit. He argues that the Labour Party's historic landslide securing a second term in office was a firm rejection of Conservative values and a mandate to set about realising this vision of Britain. |
Tony Blair discusses the challenges Britain faces in the twenty-first century.
